Let’s work together.

I use a sliding scale fee so that I am able to work with people from all socioeconomic backgrounds. We will work together to come up with a rate that feels fair and fulfills both our needs. I have a limited number of free services available to Black writers, Indigenous writers, and other writers of color, with priority given to queer & trans folk, as well as those of other marginalized identities. If you are interested in those services, please contact me and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

Poetry Editing

As an experienced poetry teacher and the current Poetry Editor at Sundog Lit, I can offer feedback and line edits on individual poems or small packets for submissions, prizes, or entrance to writing workshops or graduate programs.

Manuscript Editing

I will read your chapbook-length or full-length poetry collection and offer substantive edits on individual poems, as well as on larger thematic elements of your book. I will also recommend book contests or open reading periods from presses I feel are aligned with your work.

Sensitivity Reading

I can offer my services as a social justice professional to read your short stories, novels, screenplays, and scripts with an eye toward inclusivity. I can read for specific cultural identities, as well as a general sensitivity reading for identity and political issues.

Graduate & Undergraduate Application Editing

I will work with you to edit your personal statement for undergraduate and graduate-level studies. Previous clients have gone on to places such as University of Utah’s MFA program, UCLA nursing school, and Mills College.
